CSU STEM VISTA seeks 19 outstanding individuals to dedicate a year of service from July 2015 to July 2016.

CSU STEM VISTA members must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or legal permanent residents and have a bachelor’s degree. They will be placed in full-time positions with CSU STEM departments or colleges. CSU STEM VISTA members will work with faculty, staff, students and alumni to reach out to California’s communities and collaborate with industry partners, local community organizations, and schools. These partnerships will focus on supporting the academic and professional success of traditionally underrepresented CSU STEM students, as well as K-12 student success in STEM.

CSU STEM VISTA members live and serve in some of our nation’s poorest urban and rural areas. With passion, commitment, and hard work, they create or expand programs designed to bring individuals and communities out of poverty.

Each CSU STEM VISTA member makes a yearlong, full-time commitment to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. In return for their service, CSU STEM VISTA members receive a modest living allowance and health benefits during their service, and have the option of receiving a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award or post-service stipend after completing their service.

If you have a strong commitment to California’s communities, a passion for science, technology, engineering or math, and want to cultivate the solution, apply today to CSU STEM VISTA.
