Meetings Overview
Each year, the Center for Community Engagement hosts several systemwide meetings,
forums, and workshops. The purpose and participants of these gatherings vary greatly -
some focus on building participant skills, some highlight best practices, and others
emphasize developing action agendas for future efforts.
Our meetings provide an opportunity to bring together educators who are doing similar
work to discuss, learn and reflect on the service-learning movement in the CSU and
across the nation. We hope that you can join us for future meetings and find
information about past meetings helpful.
Recent and Upcoming Meetings
- Grant Proposal Working Session, November 13, 2008, CSU Chancellor's Office
This working session sought to provide support to the service-learning leaders of our 23 campuses with dedicated time and resources to become informed about external funding opportunities and the resources available to help search for additional opportunities. In collaboration with campus offices and CCE strategic plans, federal and private grants were identified, and program officers from three federal agencies shared information on specific grant initiatives. The Chancellor's Office will continue to provide support to these leaders throughout the creation and submission process for one grant proposal selected by participants. This is a Surdna Year Two activity.
