Initiatives Overview

Through a variety of creative systemwide initiatives, the number of service-learning opportunities available to California State University students continues to increase each year. Below are just a few ways that the CSU encourages innovation and generates long-lasting impact in our communities:

• developing infrastructure that easily facilitates the creation of community partnerships;
• providing professional development opportunities for faculty, students, staff and community partners;
• creating policies and procedures that support the growth of service, and;
• garnering financial resources that sustain service programs.
