Strategic Direction 4
Seek new, stable, sustainable financial resources
Goal Task
Goal 1: Pilot new ways to secure additional resources that support the efforts of CSU campuses and the Chancellor's Office.
  • Encourage campuses to become lead applicants in consortia grant proposals.
  • Investigate the feasibility of a systemwide advisory board to assist in fund-development.
  • Advocate for the inclusion of community engagement efforts in CSU budget proposals.
  • Invest in networking opportunities for advancement officers and community engagement leaders.
  • Explore opportunities to collaborate with other Chancellor's Office programs on grants.
FIVE-YEAR SUCCESS INDICATORS
  • Three Endowed campus offices with matching funds
  • More campuses write multi-campus grants
  • Feasibility of Advisory Board or other mechanism to make connections and bring in dollars is determined and if viable, operating
  • Center for Community Engagement included in state budget proposals
  • More Chancellor's Office partners see Community Engagement as a strategy for reaching their goals/priorities and they take the lead on Community Engagement projects
  • Two collaborative Chancellor's Office grant proposals written
  • More campuses report stronger partnerships with advancement
