Tarita Varner is the Administrative Support Assistant, reporting to Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Programs, Lorie Roth. In her current position, Tarita provides administrative support to three departments - Center for Community Engagement, the Institute for Teaching and Learning and Dr. Roth. Tarita has been with the Chancellor's Office since 1991. For 11 years, she served as the Office Manager and Assistant to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Academic Support and prior to that as the office manager of California State Student Association.

When not at the Chancellor's Office, Tarita enjoys playing many outdoor sports, spending time with her loving husband of 16 years and her two beautiful children. She also enjoys reading and teaching others in her community about the bible.
