Yewande's primary responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement and maintain communications and marketing efforts
- Office communications (writing, editing, correspondence)
- Manage general administrative operations, including meeting coordination
Yewande’s primary responsibility is to create and implement new marketing and communications strategies to help increase the visibility of the CCE and its initiatives.
Yewande is a graduate from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) where she received her B.A. in Human Development and Communication Studies. Her passion for community service bloomed through her involvement with the CSULB chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national community service-based organization. There she held multiple leadership positions, planned community service projects, and took advantage of opportunities to learn about the needs of the communities.
Since graduation, Yewande has maintained her active involvement. Now pursuing a professional Certificate in Non-Profit Public Relations at UCLA Extension, she continues to live out her passion for service through her involvement in, and support of, several non-profit organizations. When you don’t see her running a clothes drive or educating people about child soldiers and human trafficking, however, you can probably find her on the softball field or spending time with one of her favorite cameras.
