Eligibility — Bereavement/Funeral Leave
The following employee categories are eligible for bereavement/funeral leave from the
date of hire:
Physicians (Unit 1),
CSUEU (Unit 2,5,7,9),
Faculty (Unit 3),
Academic Professionals (Unit 4),
Skilled Trades (Unit 6),
Public Safety (Unit 8)
Operating Engineers (Unit 10),
Academic Student Employees (Unit 11),
Excluded (E99, Police Officer Cadet only),
Confidential (C99),
Management Personnel Plan (M80);
Executives (M98)
The following employee categories are ineligible for bereavement/funeral leave:
Excluded (E99, except Police Officer Cadet),
Student Assistants,
Youth Summer Aid employees,
Trade rate employees,
Rehired Annuitants;
Special Consultants
