California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is the sole public comprehensive university serving the Riverside-San Bernardino counties of Southern California. Founded in 1965, the campus offers more than 50 traditional baccalaureate and master's degree programs along with a wide variety of education credential and certificate programs to a student body of nearly 17,000.

Because of recent growth, new facilities (10 new buildings in 10 years) have been established, providing students, faculty and staff with an excellent learning and working environment equipped with superior technological capabilities.

Located equidistant between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, the university serves a vast area, extending from the Arizona border in the east to the Los Angeles County line in the west. Encompassing 27,000 square miles, the service area is greater in size than many states. The two counties served by CSUSB continue to have a population that is among the fastest growing in the nation.

To meet the needs of so vast a population, the university has established a satellite center that serves 900 students in the desert communities of the Coachella Valley. Cal State San Bernardino is in the midst of a public-private capital campaign that will build a permanent campus in Palm Desert.

Cal State San Bernardino also is developing and expanding its distance learning capacity to reach site-bound students throughout the Inland Empire and beyond. Designated and funded as a National Center of Excellence for Distance Learning, the university also is serving the educational needs of the civilian workforce in the U.S. Navy.

Cal State is distinguished as the only Inland Empire university with national accreditation for its College of Business and Public Administration. In addition to an M.B.A. program that is specially tailored for executives, the university has highly respected programs in computer science, geographic information and decision sciences, psychology, health and public administration, accounting and finance, as well as a nationally acclaimed writing program. CSUSB has a leading teacher preparation program that is one of the nation's largest.

Moreover, its extended education programs in business writing and language skills, technology, entrepreneurship, and conference management are some of the state's busiest. Learn more about CSUSB at www.csusb.edu.
