  • Oversees fire protection for over 31 million acres of privately owned California wildland.
  • Manages agency that responds to over 5,600 fires per year with a field staff of over 7,000.
  • Has nearly 30 years of fire service experience, including 23 with CAL FIRE.
  • Credits Humboldt State with providing him with the technical and policy background that helped him establish his career path.
