Founded Legacy Direct, a nonprofit healthcare organization committed to empowering the people of Zimbabwe.
Founder and president of the International Center for Professional Development (ICPD). Supervised mentoring and scientific fellowships for more than 300 graduate and post-doctoral researchers in the United States and Africa.
Initiated the Jatropha Tree project for the people of Africa, which provides low-maintenance trees that can produce biodiesel that can be sold to pay for medication.
Honored with multiple awards, including the 2006 Camarillo Healthcare District's Apple of Excellence award.
