- Follows a 400-year family tradiition of growing grapes and making wine in the Alsace region of France. A respected Sonoma County vintner, Michel-Schlumberger specializes in producing small lots of high-quality, award-winning wine.
- Helped develop the shared vision between Sonoma State University and the Santa Rosa Symphony to create the Green Music Center, destined to be a world-class choral and symphonic concert hall located on the SSU campus, and has committed to a $1 million gift that launched the campaign.
- Embodies a spiritual connection to the earth, the arts, and to others in the community.
- Along with his wife, Barbara, created The Melissa Garden, a honeybee, native pollinator and habitat garden sanctuary in Healdsburg, CA. The goal is to provide honeybees, native bees and other pollinators with an almost year-round source of floral resources—free from pesticides.
