My Story, My CSU
- My fondest college memory
As a student teacher, the first time my master teacher turned the classroom over to me to run solo! It was when I knew I could do this job and had the talent for working with kids. - My favorite college course
Ornamental Horticulture (which I took for my Fine Arts credit). It was hard, but so much fun working with flowers. - My college advice
Get connected to some type of student organization, especially for commuter students. It's too easy to limit yourself to work and home and miss the activities on campus that give you an opportunity to grow as a person. - My proudest accomplishment
Receiving the "Dr. Harold Haak Award for Outstanding Business Partnership Educator of the Year for Fresno County" in 2001. Dr. Haak was president of Fresno State when I was a student and a remarkable citizen in our community. I was lucky to work with him on business and education community issues in his retirement.
