My Story, My CSU

  • Inspired to Return to College
Meeting our amazing alumni inspired me to enroll in graduate school at Cal State East Bay. I attended classes part-time while working full-time and caring for my family, like many of our students who work while attending school.
  • Degree Value
Through my coursework, I have developed my skills in critical analysis and gained an academic foundation for understanding and addressing situations I encounter at work. I also value the incredible diversity in my classrooms and at our university, which is among the most diverse universities in the country. Classroom discussions are dynamic and interesting, reflecting the varied experiences of my classmates and their dedication to learning and serving their communities.
  • Connecting with CSU Alumni
It is an honor to serve the CSU Alumni Council, which helps the alumni staff at our 23 CSUs share ideas and best practices with each other, a valuable resource for our work. In the past year, I was particularly proud to support the nomination and review process for the CSU’s new Alumni Trustee, who represents the interests of the CSU’s 3 million alumni.
