My Story, My CSU
- My favorite college course
Public History, focusing on Orange County with Dr. Art Hansen. Since I had lived in Orange County most of my life up to that point, I thought it would be interesting to learn how the county came to be. It was fascinating learning who our county’s founding fathers were--how hard they worked to create the OC and how far we have come.
- My favorite college professor
Dr. Art Hansen is my favorite college professor. I took several of his classes and learned the importance of public history from him. Not only in relation to the history of our community and nation, but also, regarding our own families. Because of his wisdom, I completed an oral history of my family before I lost my grandparents. This is something that will be treasured forever within my own family for generations to come.
- My college advice
Have fun and enjoy your college days. Make sure you experience all you can from college. Find out about the many opportunities, support systems and organizations offered on campus. There are activities for every interest!
- My proudest accomplishment
In addition to my family, which includes two teenagers and a very supportive husband, my proudest accomplishment has been working over 20 years with the educational community in Southern California. Seeing what educators are doing for tomorrow’s leaders has been a positive experience. Working with the school community and sharing in their successes has been very rewarding.
