Infrastructure – Key Focus of Governor & Legislature
The Governor and legislature continue to struggle with the need to fund investments in the state’s infrastructure needs educational facilities, roads and highways and water delivery systems. While transportation and education are important – water became the key focus this year after an over 40 year hiatus in investments in the system initiated by former Governor Pat Brown.More »

Public higher education in California began with the opening of the California State Normal School (now California State University, San Jose) in 1862, the creation of the University of California in the Organic Act of 1868, and the establishment of the first Junior College program in Fresno in 1910.More »
