California Higher Education Sites

  • California Postsecondary Education Commission
    Established in 1974 by State law as California's planning and coordinating body for higher education under the provisions of the State Master Plan for Higher Education, the Commission provides fiscal, programmatic, and policy analysis to the Legislature about California's system of postsecondary education. The Commission is charged by law to "assure the effective utilization of public postsecondary resources, thereby eliminating waste and unnecessary duplication, and to promote diversity, innovation and responsiveness to student and societal needs."

    The CSU Board of Trustees' representative on the commission is Trustee Denny Campbell; the alternate is Trustee Ralph Pesqueira. The CSU's representative on the CPEC Statutory Advisory Committee is Assistant Vice Chancellor Karen Yelverton Zamarripa.

  • California Student Aid Commission
    The mission of the California Student Aid Commission is to make education beyond high school financially accessible to all Californians. The site includes information for students and parents on all financial aid programs offered by the commission, as well as information regarding the organization of the commission, and its members.

    The main web site for the University of California system includes links to all the campuses and departments within the Office of the President, as well as information on the UC Board of Regents, UC policies, and current news about the UC system.

  • California Community Colleges
    Includes links to the policy and fiscal departments within the Chancellor's Office, as well as the 108 community colleges throughout California.
