  • Public Policy Institute of California
    The Public Policy Institute of California is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to independent, objective, nonpartisan research on California's economic, social, and political issues. The institute was founded in 1994 by William R. Hewlett, Roger W. Heyns, and Arjay Miller, to raise public awareness and understanding of the issues and to give elected officials and other policymakers a more informed basis for making policy.

  • California Budget Project
    The California Budget Project (CBP) was founded in 1994 to provide Californians with a source of timely, objective and accessible expertise on state fiscal and economic policy issues. The CBP engages in independent fiscal and policy analysis and public education with the goal of improving public policies affecting the economic and social well-being of low and middle income Californians.

  • California Voter Foundation
    The California Voter Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to applying new technologies to provide the public with access to the information needed to participate in the election process.

  • California Taxpayers Association
    Founded in 1926, the mission of the California Taxpayers Association is "to protect taxpayers from unnecessary taxes and to promote efficient, quality government services." The association conducts research and advocacy on significant tax and spending issues in the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government.
