Andrew Martinez serves as a Legislative Advocate for the California State University Advocacy and State Relations office. He is responsible for tracking legislation and interacting with the legislature on a day-to-day basis.
For more than ten years, Andrew has worked in the California State Assembly as both a district and Capitol aide. Andrew has worked for two Speakers of the State Assembly, the Chair of Assembly Appropriations, of Business & Professions, and Public Employees Retirement and Social Security. He also worked for the Lieutenant Governor of California. He has worked for members representing the Chino Basin, the San Fernando Valley, the Central Valley, and the City of San Francisco. He most recently served as the Legislative Director for Assembly member Gloria Negrete McLeod.
Andrew is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, with a degree in Political Science.
