Mission

The Office of Advocacy and Institutional Relations (AIR) advocates system objectives and promotes the California State University through effective communication and relations with the Chancellor's Office, campuses, alumni, Legislature, state agencies and other external entities.

Vision

The Office of Advocacy and Institutional Relations (AIR) will be recognized by legislators and staff, campuses and other organizations as -

• Knowledgeable about politics as well as legislative and budgetary processes;
• Informed about CSU and related policy issues;
• Responsive to requests for assistance by external and internal stakeholders; and,
• An effective advocacy operation.
