CSU ADN to BSN Nursing Roadmaps

Nursing incorporates my love for science and my passion for helping others. I have known that I wanted to go into the medical field since I was a child. I chose nursing because nurses have more interaction with their patients, and it is a family-oriented career. With the 98% NCLEX pass rate and the prospect of not being in debt when I graduated, CSU Long Beach was the clear choice for me. Once accepted, I immediately began to see the desire for excellence among both the students and staff. The faculty members really make themselves available to students. One of my professors met me at 6:40 a.m., just to go over my test so I could improve on the next one. Student involvement and professional growth are also promoted at CSULB. Through the California Nursing Student Association (CNSA), I have had the opportunity to reach out to my fellow students and my community. The faculty supports this student organization by volunteering for events and seeking opportunities for student professional growth. I am now the president of CNSA and only one year from graduation. Nursing school has made me a better communicator and leader, and I will always cherish my time in nursing school.
