Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI)

Call For Best Practice Presentations

The Accessible Technology Initiative will be holding 6 Regional Meetings throughout the CSU system this fall.  A list of the six dates and sites is at the bottom of this page.  Featured on the agenda at each meeting will be selected presentations of ATI Best Practices from the host campus or campuses in the general region of the meeting.  If you have a Best Practice that you would like to present, please send an email to dkaplan@calstate.edu with the following information:

  1. Name of campus
  2. ATI priority area of the Best Practice (web accessibility, instructional materials access, procurement)
  3. Brief description of the Best Practice (150 words or less)
  4. Select a Regional Meeting for this presentation
  5. Presenter(s)

Presentations, including questions and answers, will be given 30 minutes.  A brief template for the presentations will be provided.  Presentations will be collected and disseminated through a centrally available website.

Deadline:  September 2, 2008

What is a Best Practice?

A Best Practice is an exemplary, successful and/or innovative method for implementing the ATI.  It can be a technique, tool, resource, process or any other approach that a campus has developed and implemented that other campuses might want to know about and consider replicating.
