Teaching Resource Center (TRC) offered its first Accessibility and Universal Design workshops (2 sessions) on September 19, 2003 with M. Yvette Flores, M.S. CRC (Training Coordinator for Project Enhance, Dept. of Rehabilitation, Univ. of Texas Pan American) as facilitator.

Teaching Resource Center (TRC) scheduled Dr. Beth Jaworski (Director, SSD) to do a presentation on Accessibility on February 13, 2008 to Year 2 New Faculty as part of their monthly lunch meetings. TRC has sponsored this presentation annually since 2003.

Teaching Resource Center (TRC) awarded the first Course Development grant on Accessibility ($5,000 for Summer 2007) to Prof. Sang Nam (Education) to redesign the course ESPE 652: Advanced Curricular Strategies for Students with Moderate and Severe Disabilities (Project Title: Developing an Assistive Technology Accessible Course through Podcast, PDF, and MP3 Format).
