The following information can help you see which sections of a VPAT should always be reviewed for a complete response from a vendor.

Software Applications and Operating Systems


Operating Systems 1194.21, 1194.41 -
Application Software 1194.21, 1194.41 If product comes with a video, then 1194.24 applies.
Installation programs 1194.21, 1194.41 -
Software Tools 1194.21, 1194.22, 1194.41 The tool and more importantly the output of the tool for Section 508 compliance is evaluated. The tool must be capable or producing Section 508 compliant output.
Computer Based Training 1194.21, 1194.22, 1194.24, 1194.31, 1194.41 If the product is web based, then 1194.22 applies. If multimedia is included, then 1194.24 applies.

Web-based internet information and applications
