Commendation of Edward Aguado
AS-3087-12/SDSU Delegation
WHEREAS, Edward Aguado has served for many years on the Academic Senate of the
California State University (CSU) with distinction and integrity, ably and
effectively representing San Diego State University; and,
WHEREAS, Edward Aguado has served on the Academic Affairs (AA) and Fiscal and
Governmental Affairs (FGA) Committees with sound advice and practical
wisdom based on his professional understanding of political climate; and
WHEREAS, Edward Aguado has contributed to Senate debates with focus, perspicacity,
and self-restraint; and,
WHEREAS, Edward Aguado has also contributed his considerable knowledge and personal
stores of beer to Senate social functions; and
WHEREAS, Edward Aguado has debunked the popular notion that the light in San Diego
is different than in any other place (thus incurring the wrath of the Tourist
Bureau)
RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate CSU congratulate Edward Aguado on his many
years of dedicated service to the CSU and thank him for his dedication to
shared governance in the University; and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate CSU wish Edward Aguado the best in his
continuing career with the CSU.
