
Diana Guerin, Chair of the Academic Senate CSU, offers thanks to CSU faculty, notes that systemwide recognition of faculty excellence is being sought, and discusses the faculty's role in improving efficiency while pursuing academic excellence. In particular, she summarizes the path that proposals to eliminate upper division General Education requirements, and to limit bachelor’s degrees to 120 units (180 for quarter campuses), have taken in the search for efficiencies. She suggests that securing adequate funding should be a higher priority than proposals which dilute academic quality. More »
