Broad goal: Investigates the range of bibliographic management
software available, including both commercial and open source
products, and recommends adoption/implementation of an application
for systemwide use.

Name: LibIT Sub-Committee
Broad Goal: Facilitate communication and discussion of Library IT issues/projects and Virtual Library initiatives among/across all CSU Libraries. The subcommittee will also serve as the primary communication link between STIM and the CSU Library IT community.

Name: CSU LOCKSS Project, Phase 2
Broad Goal: The Sub-committee is currently organizing Phase 2 of the CSU LOCKSS Project which will involve using the paid version of LOCKSS to preserve content that campuses have purchased to build a Private LOCKSS Network for CSU Campuses. LOCKSS (Lots Of Copies Keep Stuff Safe; more information at lockss.org) provides libraries an easy-to-manage turnkey system that builds local collections of digital content and allows them to preserve it in case access to content is no longer available
Name: Institutional Repository Sub-Committee
Broad Goal: Coordinates work to establish a centrally managed and supported Institutional Repository utilizing DSpace software that is available for use by all CSU campuses. Known as, CSU ScholarWorks, it will support individually customized and managed IRs for each campus. The system will also provide a method for a unified search, inclusive of all campus IRs.
