Under the general direction of the Council of Library Directors (COLD) and working with the UIAS Project Manager and the UIAS Task Forces described below: To act as the primary advisory body to COLD to direct and coordinate the UIAS related activities of campus libraries and campus library policies. To act as the primary advisory body to COLD to review and comment on the technical implications of UIAS service strategies with respect to overall soundness and relationship to campus computing and networking activities. To receive, review and comment on proposals for new UIAS service directions and user policies. Such proposals may be initiated by COLD, the UIAS Project Manager, the UIAS Task Forces, and/or the UIAS Management Team itself. To review and comment on the goals, priorities, actions and assumptions reflected in UIAS strategic and fiscal plans. The UIAS Management Team is composed of nine (9) members. Seven of these (five CSU library directors, two librarians) are appointed by COLD. The Director of Systemwide Library Initiatives and the UIAS Project Manager serve as ex officio members. Appointed members serve for three-year terms. Terms are staggered, with three members changing one year, two members changing the following year, and two members changing the third year. Appointment years run from July 1st through June 30th. The Chair is elected by the Team. |
