System Administration Training May 25-27, 1999 Three days of Pharos orientation, Pharos server training and discussion with colleagues from CSU libraries is scheduled for May 25 -27 on the campus of the California State University Fullerton. System Administration

Tuesday and Wednesday morning's training session is intended for the System Administrator for the Pharos Server. An overview of the Pharos software suite will be included as well as an overview of basic NT Server maintenance issues. Members of the Pharos Task Force for Systems Design and Implementation will be available during the day and half of this orientation. User Services
Session
Beginning at 1:00 PM Wednesday and continuing through Thursday afternoon there will be an orientation session intended for user services personnel. The person or persons who have an interest in integrating the Pharos Server with the library's existing web site, customizing the Pharos Server for the library and learning more about using Pharos in the library's instructional and user service programs are invited to this session. Members of the Pharos User Services Task Force will be available during this session. Travel expenses: The UIAS Project will cover the cost of one person from each CSU library to attend theSystem Administration and the User Services Sessions. For example, one person might attend the System Administration Session on Tuesday and Wednesday, while a different person would attend the User Services Session Wednesday and Thursday. In this case the UIAS Project would reimburse the travel expenses for both of these attendees. The facility being provided by Cal State Fullerton Library can accommodate additional participants, but the library will have to cover the travel expenses for any additional attendees. To get the group/government rate mention that the reservation is for the California State University - Chancellor's Office. Directions to the Marriott and the campus are available at the Marriott web site. Rooms are being held for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday [May 24-26] nights, until May 10, 1999 at the group rate of $75 a night. Plans are being made now for a Pharos orientation session in August for the Interlibrary Loan/ Document Delivery heads.
