References: State Administrative Manual, Section 1650; State Micrographics
Manual published by the Office of Records Management.

Microfilm and Optical Disk Management is a program for reducing the size
and volume of records and the duplication, distribution, storage and retrieval
of the growing volume of required and important information.

The Office of Records Management has published a State Micrographics
Manual containing all preliminary information, policies, recommended
guidelines, and state and federal legal requirements for a campus to
determine its need for microfilming, including source document filming,
Computer Output Microfilm (COM), and Computer Assisted Retrieval (CAR)
systems. This reference manual, which can be obtained through the campus
Records Management Coordinator from the Office of Records Management, is
an essential publication needed by all campuses having existing or proposed
microfilm systems.
