4021  PARTICIPATION IN PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING 
(POST) PROGRAMS

The CSU adheres to the regulations and standards of the California 
Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) for the 
employment and training of Public Safety Officers and Dispatchers.  POST 
regulations have been codified and published in Title II, Chapter 2, of the 
California Administrative Code.  POST guidelines require physical and 
psychological examinations, a complete medical examination, and a complete 
background investigation prior to employment.
