2807 OVERAWARDS, REFUNDS, AND REPAYMENTS

Overawards.---An overaward is the amount that a student receives which is
greater than the amount that he or she is entitled to receive. While an
intentional overaward is prohibited, the situation can occur as a result of
institutional error, excess earnings, additional resources reported by the
student, or the student dropping from full-time to half-time status or
withdrawing from the institution. The Financial Aid Office will determine
the amount of overaward.

Refunds.---Refunds are those funds to be returned to the student on
institutional charges such as registration fees, housing and board, etc.

Repayments.---Repayments are funds to be recovered from the student which
had been disbursed as a cash amount to be used for noninstitutional
educational costs.
