2806.04  REQUIREMENTS FOR DISBURSEMENT OF FEDERAL STUDENT 
FINANCIAL AID

While each program has its own regulations, the following apply to all 
campus-based programs and should be applied to other types of aid, unless 
specifically precluded.

The student must be registered for classes prior to disbursement of financial 
aid.  If payment is by check to the student, it cannot be disbursed more than 
ten days before classes begin.  If the student's account is credited, the credit 
cannot be made more than three weeks before classes begin.  A transaction 
can be made to the student's account for purposes of identifying the amount 
of federal aid that must be drawn down and for billing the student for 
amounts due that will not be covered by financial aid; however, the money 
cannot actually be drawn down and deposited earlier than three weeks before 
classes commence.
