2122  SALARY AND BENEFIT INCREASE RESERVE

The Office of Budget Planning and Administration estimates the costs of 
providing salary and benefit increases for each position class code.  The total 
estimated cost for each campus is transferred to the salary and benefit increase 
reserve to insure that adequate funds are available for salary and benefit 
increase needs during the budget year.

Auxiliary and Business Services will transfer the salary and benefit increase 
reserve to the campus operating budget prior to the beginning of the fiscal 
year.  The actual amount required may be slightly higher or lower than the 
amount held in reserve.  It is the responsibility of the campus to insure that 
adequate funds are available to provide salary and benefit increases.
