WASC Accreditation and Quality Improvement

“It’s time to include support and nonacademic units in quality processes. All units contribute to educational effectiveness”

Ralph A. Wolff, Executive Director, Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) - Moving Beyond Compliance to a Systems Approach to Quality: Early Reflections on the New WASC Accreditation Model

Based on five years of research and experimentation, the Western Association for Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation model is built on a "whole systems" approach to quality and evaluation, focusing heavily in its multi-stage model of review on student and organizational learning.

The systemwide Quality Improvement program is a valuable and reliable resource for the WASC Accreditation requirements – bringing data portfolio and assessment techniques and assistance to campuses.
