Quality Improvement Function Representative

 
Overviews

The Function Representative should comprehensively understand the issues of their functional area(s) of responsibility. The Function Representative must believe in the importance and workability of continuous quality improvement.

ROLE
The Function Rep will:

  • be the campus representative for the functional area (this sometimes involves more than one department and/or division and requires an understanding of the cross-functionality of the operations.)
  • serve as the contact between the campus function group, QI Facilitators (QIF), QI Function Chair(s), and QI Consultants
  • be well informed of QI function group projects at campuses
  • actively participate in the QI system-wide projects
  • use Quality Showcase as a source of best practices and a method for publishing best practices

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Function Rep will:

  • ensure accurate data is submitted for benchmarking data elements
  • attend function group meetings or teleconferences, or QI system-wide training, workshops, seminars and/or conferences
  • inform the campus QIF as well as the Function Chair(s) of projects status and/or issues
