and Responsibilities
Quality Improvement Facilitator (QIF) |

Overviews |
| The QIF should have the ability to easily
communicate with all campus personnel. This individual should
assume a proactive leadership role as a change agent
for his/her campus. The QIF should have the authority to represent
the campus, or at least have quick access to those that can
make decisions concerning matters of system-wide quality improvement
issues. The QIF must believe in the importance and workability
of continuous campus quality improvement and be willing to
take the leadership for quality improvement activities on
his/her campus.
ROLE
The QIF will:
- be the primary point of contact for all QI system-wide
projects on the campus
- be the 'cheerleader' for quality improvement on the
campus
- serve as the primary campus contact between the campus
and: QI consultants, QI Steering Committee, QI Planning
Committee and QI sub-committees
RESPONSIBILITIES
The QIF will:
- ensure that campus personnel are adequately informed
of QI project timelines, instructions, and meeting time
and locations
- provide training and coaching of campus personnel
- hold regular meetings with campus personnel involved
in any aspect of Ql projects or programs in order to educate,
update, Inform or solve problems concerning QI on the
campus
- keep the campus president and vice presidents updated
with the progress of campus and systemwide QI issues
- be the focal point for collection and distribution of
data, documents, surveys, instruments, manuals, etc.
- provide the final quality control review of campus data
and/or information that is submitted as part of the various
QI projects
- attend QI system-wide training, workshops, seminars
and/or conferences
- coordinate and/or provide support for the administration
of customer satisfaction surveys
- evaluate and promote the use of assessment tools for
quality improvement on the campus
- identify functional representatives
- be active in QI projects at the campus
- be involved with all other QI personnel such as Function
Chairs, Institutional Research Departments, etc.
- contribute articles that highlight campus QI efforts
for publication in the CSU-QI newsletter
- consider participation on system-wide working committees
when requested
- advise the QI Planning Committee of important campus
dates for consideration in developing the QI calendar
of activities
- recruit other schools for QI comparative purposes
- prepare biennial campus QI reports
