EHE - Excellence in Higher Education - Baldrige Application
EHE utilizes many aspects of the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Program framework. However, it translates or adapts the Baldrige specifically to Higher Education in order to be easier to use, and to be more readily accepted in our environment.
While the Baldrige Program is associated with an Award, many organizations that utilize the framework are not pursuing the award, per se. Instead they seek a better understanding of excellence and use the process to organize their improvement efforts. While we are not advocating seeking an award, individuals interested in EHE will find learning about the Baldrige very helpful.
Find out more about the Baldrige National Quality Program at the official government website.
As of 2009 there have been three higher education winners of the Baldrige National Quality Award. The links below provide a brief profile of each winner and a summary of their award application. Both are valuable sources of information about how to achieve high performance.
2001 - University of Wisconsin-Stout
2004 - Kenneth W. Monfort College of Business
2005 - Richland College
