CSU alumni across the system have a brand new source of information thanks to the recent launch of the redesigned CSU Alumni site . Links to alumni news, feature stories and photo galleries, as well as a link to the Proud Alums of the CSU Facebook group are all available on the site. In addition, interesting facts about CSU’s more than 2 million grads, a "Who’s Who among Alumni", and ways to get involved are available in one convenient location.
Information about CSU’s Alumni Council is also featured on the site. The council serves as the voice for CSU alumni in representation to the CSU Board of Trustees, the Systemwide Budget Advisory Committee, the California Faculty Association and the CSU Sytemwide Academic Senate.
"I am a proud alum of the California State University. I want others to share that pride," writes Alumni Trustee Bob Linscheid in a message to alumni. "The California State University is a remarkable university, providing the outstanding teaching, research and hands-on learning that graduates need to succeed in the workforce. With over 450,000 students on 23 campuses, the CSU is developing the future engineers, artists, nurses and scientists who will lead California into the future."
Linscheid’s complete message to alumni, along with a message from the council’s president Ken Stone, can be viewed on the site’s Alumni Council page. The council also has a Facebook page for alum to join to keep abreast of the council’s efforts.
