*** MEDIA ADVISORY*** AT&T and the California State University Hit The Road to College On A ‘Wired’ Bus To Reach Out To High School Students in Underserved Communities Valley High School To Be First Stop on Statewide Tour Promoting How to Plan for College
WHAT: Students at Valley High School will be the first to get on the Road to College bus tour as California State University and AT&T California announce a $1.6 million, 4-year “Steps to College Success” effort to increase college access for students in underserved communities. More than 100 students at Valley High School in Elk Grove will climb aboard a 40-foot highly-decorated bus complete with internet-ready laptops where students can take virtual tours of all 23 CSU campuses, fill out a college application and receive information on financial aid and scholarships. A traveling street team of university representatives will be on hand to help the high school groups navigate the web pages and answer questions. WHERE: WHEN:
