General Information
- Eligible employees who are required to wear a uniform earn a uniform allowance of
$57.00 per qualifying month of service.
- Effective November 2007 pay period, uniform allowance payments will be processed on a monthly basis, and reported to CalPERS in the month the allowance is earned. Effective October 2007 pay period, the requirement to process annual lump-sum uniform allowance payments for Unit 8 employees is no longer aplicable. Refer to Coded Memo Reference below.
- All uniform allowance payments issued in Fiscal Year 2001/02 or later are subject to CalPERS
contributions.
