General Information

The CSU and CSUEU agreed to pay a single Rural Health Care Stipend of $1,000 to
employees who meet the following criteria during the January 2008 pay period:

Must be enrolled in a CalPERS sponsored non-HMO health plan.

Must reside in a zip code determined by CalPERS to be a rural area in which there are no CalPERS board approved HMOs. A list of relevant zip codes, effective January 1, 2008, is provided in HR/Salary 2008-02, Attachment B.

Must be in an active or on-leave status.
