Leora D. Freedman

Leora D. Freedman is University Counsel for the California State University San Bernardino and Stanislaus campuses. She is a member of the Academic/Student Affairs Team in the Office of General Counsel and is also a resource attorney on student discipline and international programs. After clerking for the Honorable Harry L. Hupp, United States District Court for the Central District of California, Ms. Freedman practiced law at Hufstedler, Kaus & Ettinger; Paul Hastings; and Shapiro, Rodarte & Freedman, where she specialized in business and insurance coverage litigation. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Ms. Freedman served as the Directing Attorney of the Consumer Law Project and the Homelessness Prevention Law Project at Public Counsel. Ms. Freedman also has extensive experience as a panel and private mediator in real estate, commercial, insurance, contract, entertainment, employment and malpractice disputes.
