Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 996, which authorizes California State University, East Bay to establish a Category III Miscellaneous Course Fee for Teacher Education 5777, Curriculum & Instruction: Visual and Performing Arts Integration in K-12 Classrooms.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Chapter III, Sections 1, 2 and 6-f-1, and Board of Trustees' Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740. Effective January 11, 2007, California State University, East Bay is authorized to establish a Category III, Miscellaneous Course Fee for TED 5777, Curriculum & Instruction: Visual and Performing Arts Integration in K-12 Classrooms. The course fee for TED 5777 is established at a fee rate of $15, and will allow the college to buy art supplies and materials in bulk for students for use in class art projects. In accordance with Education Code Section 89721(l), revenue collected from all higher education fees shall be deposited in a local trust unless otherwise specified.
