Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 995, which authorized San Francisco State University to establish a Category IV Judicial Administrative Fee, a Category III Summer Resident Activity Fee and a Category III Off Campus Fee for Graduate Programs in Business.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Category IV Judicial Administrative Fee, Category III Summer Resident Activity Fee and Category III Off Campus Fee for Graduate Programs in Business; San Francisco State University.

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Chapter II, i, and Board of Trustees' Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740.

Effective November 2, 2006, San Francisco State University is authorized to establish the following fees:

• Category IV Judicial Administrative Fee at a rate of $20 per incident. This fee will be charged to resident housing students who have been held responsible, as part of the student conduct judicial hearing process. The Judicial Administrative Fee will offset the increasing staff time expended on student conduct cases and will partially fund the purchase and maintenance of a software program which will computerize the campus student judicial process.
• Category III Summer Resident Activity Fee at a rate of $15. The fee will be charged to summer semester resident housing students to support activity programs for the growing summer resident population.

Effective with the Fall 2007 semester, San Francisco State University is authorized to establish the following fee:

• Category III Off Campus Fee for Graduate Programs in Business. This fee will be charged at a rate of $700 for part-time students and $1200 for full-time students. The fee will be charged to graduate students in the College of Business. The fee will cover the cost of rent, HVAC and Instructional Equipment used by Graduate Programs in the College of Business in order to offer the program in a new downtown location.

In accordance with Education Code Section 89721(l), revenue collected from all higher education fees shall be deposited in a local trust unless otherwise specified.
