Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 989, which authorizes Sonoma State University to establish a Miscellaneous Course Fee for ArtS 400, Art in the Classroom.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Chapter III, Sections 1, 2 and 6-f-1, and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740. Effective August 22, 2006, Sonoma State University is authorized to establish a Category III, Miscellaneous Course Fee for ArtS 400, Art in the Classroom. The course fee for ArtS 400 is established at a fee rate of $30, and will allow the college to buy art supplies and materials in bulk for students preparing projects for teaching art to elementary and high school students. In accordance with Education Code Section 89721(l), revenue collected from all higher education fees shall be deposited in a local trust unless otherwise specified.
