Miscellaneous course fee range for the College of Engineering, and miscellaneous course fee for MILS 096 Leadership Laboratory – Executive Order Number 1023

Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 1023, which authorizes San Diego State University to establish a miscellaneous course fee range for the College of Engineering, and a miscellaneous course fee for MILS 096, Leadership Laboratory.     

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Miscellaneous course fee range for the College of Engineering, and miscellaneous course fee for MILS 096 Leadership Laboratory – San Diego State University.

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035, 89700, 89703, 90002, and 90012 and Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Section II (i), and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consistent with Executive Order Number 740. Effective October 15, 2007, San Diego State University is authorized to establish  miscellaneous course fees for the College of Engineering within a fee range of $10 to $50, and a miscellaneous course fee for MILS 096, Leadership Laboratory at a fee rate of $50.  College of Engineering fees will cover costs to provide materials for laboratories including, but not limited to, safety glasses, cutters, calipers, electronic and other sensor components, replacement of consumable products and plotting materials for specialized printing.  Fee levels for courses offered by the college of engineering require approval by the Student Fee Advisory Committee.  The MILS 096, Leadership Laboratory fee will help to off-set the costs associated with multiple field trips to training sites during the semester.     In accordance with Section 89724(l), revenue collected all higher education fees should be deposited in a local trust account unless otherwise specified.
