Category III fees for ART 314 and 328; Graduation Reactivation Fee; and Category I Recreation and Athletics Fee — Executive Order Number 1019

Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 1019, which authorizes California State University, Channel Islands to establish miscellaneous course fees for ART 314 and 328, a Graduation Reactivation Fee and a Category I Recreation and Athletics Fee.  The Nursing Testing Fee requested can be established by the campus as a “Special Examination Fee” to cover the cost of administering the examination and does not require my approval. 

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Category III fees for ART 314 and 328; Graduation Reactivation Fee; and Category I Recreation and Athletics Fee – California State University, Channel Islands

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Section II (i), and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740. Effective September 24, 2007, California State University, Channel Islands is authorized to establish the following fees: Category III Fees Fee Rate Use of Fee Revenue ART 314: Digital Media Art: Digital Photography and ART 328: Digital Media Art: Photographic Theory and Process. $40 To pay for color ink and photo paper for photo printers used by students and maintenance and repairs of cameras used by students. Graduation Re-activation Fee $25 Operating costs of evaluating student records to reactivate student status after a student has completed degree requirements but lost active student status Category I Fee Rate Use of Fee Revenue Recreation and Athletics Fee $50/semester To establish and implement a quality recreation and intercollegiate athletics program and improve the quality of the current recreational opportunities available on campus. In accordance with Section 89721(l) of the Education Code, revenue collected from higher education fees shall be deposited in a local trust account.
