Category III CPR/First Aid Red Cross Certification Fee – Executive Order Number 1017

Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 1017, which authorizes California State University, Dominguez Hills to establish the above listed certification fee.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Category III CPR/First Aid Red Cross Certification Fee - California State University, Dominguez Hills

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035, 89700, 89703, 90002, and 90012 and Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Section II (i), and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740. Effective July 17, 2007, California State University, Dominguez Hills is authorized to establish a Category III fee for CPR/First Aid Red Cross Certification.  The fee is set at a rate of $20 and will be charged to students who are required to obtain CPR/First Aid Red Cross certification for programs such as the teacher credential program and nursing program.  Other student groups will also be allowed to take the course for certification and will be charged the same fee. In accordance with Section 89721(l) of the Education Code, revenue collected from Higher Education Fees, shall be deposited in a local trust account and handled according to any other governing codes that apply.
