Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 1016, which authorizes Sonoma State University to establish a Miscellaneous Course Fees for Chemistry 102, 105, 115A, 115B, 232, 255, 316, 335A, 336, 401, 402 and 441.

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Category III Miscellaneous Course Fees for Chemistry 102, 105, 115A, 115B, 232, 255, 316, 335A, 336, 401, 402 and 441- Sonoma State University


This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Section II (i), and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740.

Effective July 17, 2007, Sonoma State University is authorized to establish the following Category III, Miscellaneous Course Fees for Chemistry. 

Course Fee Level Use of Revenue
Chemistry 102, 105, 115A, 115B, 232 and 255 $25 Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, expendable laboratory supplies such as test tubes, pH indicator strips, stoppers, pipette tips, cuvettes, and other laboratory supplies.
Chemistry 316, 335A, 336, 401, 402 and 441 $35 Expendable laboratory supplies such as test tubes, chemical syringes/needles (401 and 402 only), pH indicator strips, stoppers, pipette tips, cuvettes, and other laboratory supplies.

In accordance with Education Code Section 89721(l), revenue collected from all higher education fees shall be deposited in a local trust unless otherwise specified.
