Category III Pilot E-Learning Fee — Executive Order Number 1011

Attached is a copy of Executive Order No. 1011, which extends the authorization given in Executive Order 988 for California State University, Stanislaus to charge a Category III Pilot E-Learning Fee through Summer 2008.  Before the end of the Summer 2008 term, California State University Stanislaus must submit another request to have a permanent e-learning fee established. 

In accordance with policy of the California State University, the campus president has responsibility for implementing executive orders where applicable and for maintaining the campus repository and index for all executive orders.

Title:

Category III Pilot E-Learning Fee; California State University, Stanislaus

This executive order is issued under the authority granted by Education Code Sections 89035 and 89700, Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, Section II (i), and Board of Trustees’ Resolution RFIN 03-04-00, and consonant with Executive Order Number 740. Effective June 6, 2007, California State University, Stanislaus is authorized to extend the Category III Pilot E-Learning Fee.  This fee was established for the time period beginning in Fall 2006 and ending after the last day of Summer term 2007, and is now extended through the last day of Summer term 2008.  The fee must fall within the range of $75-150 based on cost of delivering e-learning courses to students.  The fee will cover costs associated with the initial start-up of the program, faculty development of courses and the administration of the e-learning course system. In accordance with Section 89721(l) of the Education Code, revenue collected from Category III fees shall be deposited in a local trust account.
